Making 10 Billion, 8 Watt Led Lights --- How about 1 Billion

 

      If the world had 200 companies making 8 Watt Led Lights exactly like the Lighting Science Group 8 Watt or the Sylvania 8 Watt that replace an old 40 Watt bulb with a screw base, over a 2 year period, how many bulbs would have to be made by each company per month in order to produce the 10 Billion Bulbs that America needs?

Answer:

( 10,000,000,000 / 2  /200  =  25,000,000 per year  divide 12 = 2,083,333 per month,  2.09 million/ Mo )

      It is good to understand that the screw sockets are already out there (and more), so that buying Lamps, or having expensive all inclusive packaging, or small lot buying ( in a quantity of say, 30 pieces per customer) is not necessary. Lowes has proven that the Sylvania (assembled in the USA) is available in the Pittsburgh store at less than $22.00 for 1 bulb. But, it will be a long time for 200 companies in the USA are able to do 2.09 million bulbs per month

      The rest of the world has Led Light Manufacturers that publish their monthly production and often show 30,000 lights per month (360,000 per year). So, how many companies like that would be required?

Answer:( 10,000,000,000 / 2 / 360,000 =  6,944 companies ! )

    Ouch, TOO BIG! Please set up factories ASAP in America.

This author has no plan to continue with this work which was a fiasco from day one.

But he will give it some help for an extra 8 months by moving everything to the TruthForGlobalWarming site. However there is some stuff that was prepared before the death of My Daughter , Kerri, on 7/15/2010 which is relevant.  Before her death, my motivation was to do stuff to get rid of the Radio-Active, Tritiated Water in the High  Mountain Lake reservoir feeding all the people in Charlotte where she and her family lived.

     Now, the problem has doubled because the relocation of Kerri’s Husband (and Both Grand Daughters) after her death to Fort Mill which gets their water from still another contaminated lake (in the Catawba River string of 11 Lakes) with 2 more reactors dumping up stream from the intake for the town. So now we have 2 young children and an aging former Son-In-Law drinking the doubly bad water and nobody knows it is there (or knows how bad it is) and what could happen to them as a result of drinking the contaminated water.

      It is very hard for me to work on this because of the bad feelings I get when working on the computer because it is a Legacy that Kerri gave me years ago when she came by our house and dropped off an “Everex 1800” with a “huge” 20 Mega Byte IBM Hard drive than only had Microsoft Word and Lotus 123 on it. Dad, she said, you are a computer illiterate and this will help you to get started.

     So now after making up 4 Web sites and working 20 years designing transformers with the continuously improving spreadsheets, I have arrived to the point in my life where everything needs to be simplified. Kerri helped me to make a good living all those years and the 250 Mega Byte “3-Windows CD” have been sold and spread far and wide resulting in still more income. The simplified 3-Windows is down to less than 10 MB  is a “Live” E-Book selling at $78.00.

     None of the people that I mailed to in the Charlotte area ever got back to me about all the bad water. It is Unbelievable that our government could be releasing so much Tritiated water into much of America’s Rivers and Lakes. The page I wrote about it follows as part of the present effort to simplify a Complicated Project.

This plant and the 2 Mcguire Reactors up north (and the Mountain Island Lake feeding Charlotte) are stuck with Reactors that must release the Tritiated Water to make the power!

Catawba Nuclear Station is located on Lake Wylie in York County, S.C. The lake was created in 1904 and is the oldest lake on the Catawba River. The lake provides cooling water for both Catawba and Allen Steam Station.

Unlike its sister stations — McGuire in Mecklenburg County, N.C., and Oconee in Oconee County, S.C. — Catawba is jointly owned by North Carolina Municipal Power Agency Number One, North Carolina Electric Membership Corporation, Piedmont Municipal Power Agency and Duke Energy.

Catawba is one of three nuclear stations designed, built and operated by Duke Energy. Unit 1 began commercial operation in 1985, followed by unit 2 in 1986. Today, the nuclear fleet provides electricity to approximately half of Duke Energy’s customers in the Carolinas, with production costs among the lowest in the nation.

Duke Energy nuclear power plants operate at a very high level of security every day. Catawba was designed and built with redundant safety systems and multiple barriers to protect the public, plant workers and the environment.

It looks like U folks can make a lot of money while you get rid of the nukes with reduced lighting bills!

         To get rid of 2,258 Mega watts with 40 Watt Led Lights that reduce the power usage by 32 watts for each bulb means that  70 million bulbs would be needed  to make the 2-reactors obsolete and at $10.00 each they will pay for themselves in less than one year thereby saving the customers $700 million dollars in reduced electric bills the first year(paid for by Duke Energy) followed with 9 more years at $700 million per year X 9 years or a bonanze of $6.3 Billion dollars (because of the long life of the bulbs) for your happy utility customers.

Home Depot stocks the 40 Watt Replacement bulbs and so does Lowes using a similar bulb.!

Duke Nuclear Kingdom

This author thinks that Duke has done good (but mis-guided) things.

      The Duke Nuclear Kingdom consists of the States of North and South Carolina and involves 10 Nuclear Reactors in a dangerous state of criticality requiring full time supervision by 10,000 people employed by Duke Energy who need to control the reactions at all times. The employees must prevent the reactors from having “run away reactions” which would devastate the areas where the reactors sit as well as large areas of the surrounding countryside.

      The reactors must release Radio-Active Tritiated Water in order to make the necessary heat to run the steam turbines that turn the electric generators. The Radio-Active Water is released into the lakes that are also used to cool the return water from the Steam Cycle. The reactors also produce Lethal, Solid, Highly-Radio-Active Waste that will be on Earth for millions of years at a rate of about 50TonsPerYear for each reactor which already has accumulated about 1,500 tons at each site which is usually sitting in large pools of water requiring supervision and adjustments.

      The “Kingdom” has Nine-Million People in North Carolina and Five-Million in South Carolina who are essentially not informed about the possible health effects from drinking the ever present Tritiated Water. Duke Energy has no interest in getting the truth of the matter released to the public because the Nuclear Regulatory Commission has taken the 60 year old position that the Radiation is harmless and the commission has always turned a tin ear toward the vast number of knowledgeable health professionals who have published their opinions because to do so would result in the need to shut down the reactors.

       Duke Energy has a very large presence in their Kingdom engaged in the care of their Lakes under the appearance as a public servant  Duke supports fishing and outdoor activities that involve getting to and using the contaminated lakes and  preserving the contaminated fish population. In addition to the thousands of people directly involved in controlling the dangerous and tension filled situation and work requirements (that prevent direct exposure to lethal radiation) there are at least 5,000 or more people supporting the running of the power plants, maintenance, security of the installations and supplying all the necessary services to the widely disbursed system of electric power distribution.

        If there was ever a cash cow that keeps giving and giving without competition or political problems, this is it. The pure cash flow from the sale of electricity to 14Millon people over all the years is quite large and well controlled. It is a Happy and Prosperous Kingdom with a growing and secure number of retirees  There are good relationships with the Federal Government quite unlike the typical business and the reach of the excess cash is creeping far and wide to other states and countries in a generally unsupervised manner.

        Now, it is time to ask Duke Energy to measure and publish the concentration of Radio-Active Tritiated Water content in each of the following Man Made Lakes on a weekly basis and send the results to the local town managers so that they can decide to institute necessary actions that protect their citizens:

Lake Norman

In South Carolina;

Lake Wylie

Lake Robinson

Lake Keowee

Lake Monticello

       Now, it is also time to have debate about the contents of  www.TruthForGlobalWarming.com  and insist that Carbon Dioxide IS NOT “Pollution”, that the Principal Green House Gas is WATER VAPOR and that Carbon Dioxide is the most important gas that is necessary for the production of  food and the support of all life on Planet Earth. CO2 is necessarily in short supply because life can only exist if it can release CO2 to the atmosphere with the partial Pressure of the Atmosphere being lower than the pressure of the CO2 being released by life forms.

       The beautiful web pages of Duke Power will NEVER describe the wonderful lakes shown as man made concentrated effluent pools for Radio-Active Tritiated Water and heat (that contaminate the surrounding ground water as well) and that the so called “clean power” produced by the nuclear reactors has caused many thousands of tons of lethal. High-level, Radio-active, Solid Nuclear Waste to be on the planet for millions of years and is now stored on site from the beginning. The reactors and the storage pools represent very high priority terrorist targets and should be made safe as a national priority. Nobody knows what to do with it. The reactors must produce Tritiated Water in order to make the power.

       The most important asset of the Duke Nuclear Kingdom is the complete control of the entire Catawba river upper-level “Basin” that starts at the mountain tops in North Carolina and ends releasing the more and more concentrated bad water at sea level into the Atlantic Ocean. It mixes with the nice warm contaminated flow of the Gulf Stream  (carrying all the bad water from the many Mississippi river reactors) right up the East coast to the happy bathers at Myrtle Beach and northward.

       Calling the Catawba a “River” is an abuse of the word. It is a low  flow “creek” that just happens to have a long trip from high altitudes to get down to the Ocean. Duke has done a good job of using and re-using the flow by installing the dams at just the right locations to allow water to accumulate a sufficient volume of water to cool the turbines without showing too much undesirable hot water  The amount of pure water that must be added to the Tritiated Water to get below the EPA standard concentration gets fuzzy when the lack of the usual “Cooling Towers” is missing because there is so much water being moved out into the lakes that it is easy to simply let it all flow out in a continuous volume that is sure to be below the standard and there is little concern as to the actual contamination in the Lake water because whet leaves the plant is below the standard.

       It is going to take an Act of Congress to convince Duke to measure the levels of contamination in the lakes simply because it is bad Public Relations. There are no Radiation Hazard signs at any of the outflow pipes of all 104 reactors in the USA and there probably never will be.

        Duke is in total denial about the need for human beings to replace all the soft tissues of their body every 20 months. Call it 5% of the body weight tissues to be replaced every month. If the tissues are 80% water, it means when one drinks Tritiated water,  the Soft tissues , the organs, vessels and all body parts will have the similar concentration of Tritiated Water as that which was consumed.

         In all the EPA, NRC, DOE statements about the Radio-Active nature of Tritiated Water one will not find any word about a Tritiated Human Body or Tritiated Water in the tissues or the blood or the brain or any place else.

They Just Don’t Know It

       America is the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave receiving the benefits of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

       Truth, Justice and The American Way of Life are enjoyed by more than 330 million people in a country with a host of natural resources and a temperate climate that provides good growing seasons with plenty of sunshine, CO2 and rain that gives the beautiful rolling hills and plains plenty of the food for the good life.

       There are at least 150 million Tritiated Americans contaminated with Radio-Active Tritiated Water that has secretly invaded their bodies. The bad water has become part of them and destroys part of them on a 24/7 basis anywhere that their body tissues are harboring Tritium that is in a constant state of Radio-Active decay. 104 Nuclear Power Reactors produce the Tritiated Water on a continuous basis which is mixed with pure water down to a level of contamination approved by the EPA. It is then released into the drinking and irrigation water in the lakes and rivers. It is a terrible, national cover-up “in Denial” by the oversight agencies and politicians that have Nuclear Plants in their states.

      For example, there are 42 nuclear reactors contaminating the Mississippi River Basin. The water flowing past New Orleans contains an awful lot of Tritiated Water (almost 3% at low flow in the winter) going out into the Gulf of Mexico. All of the Nuclear Power Plants are spread around in the watershed near population centers that draw the Tritiated water into their public water systems. The innocent citizens drink it. It is hard to find a major metropolitan area that doesn’t have a near by Nuclear Plant dumping into the same river that the public water supply is drawn from.

     Consider another example (a horrible one that harmed my Daughter Kerri and her family) ; There are 11 lakes along the Catawba river in the Carolinas but only 4 reactors dumping into 2 of the lakes contaminate the whole 200 mile long string used for fishing and drinking water. Duke Energy is proud of the lakes they built to cool the reactors and provide the contaminated water for almost 9 million Tritiated Carolinians.

      The EPA, formerly a superstar agency, is now a surrogate department of the US D.O.E. and the chief promoter of anti-CO2 propaganda as well as the key agency that knows about the Tritiated Water  and allows it to be released without public knowledge. How else could there be so many Tritiated Americans?

    Anti-Global Warming people are automatically marginalized except to provide a few media stories that nobody does anything about. There are only 2 Anti-Tritiated-Water Advocates. Ace Hoffman who continues forward with his book “The Code Killers” on www.acehoffman.org and R. J. Gramm who continues to work upon www.LedLightsForUSA.com  and www.TruthForGlobalWarming.com 

     All of the Tritiated Americans do not know that the Tritiated Water behaves like normal pure water until the Tritium throughout their body decays and destroys a few cells or causes a genetic change that is so small that it goes un-noticed. Our brain is constantly communicating with all parts of our body with thousands of electric signals back and forth at all times. A few thousand loose electrons released by the Decaying Tritium can surely cause confusion, bad feelings or even bad and unexpected behavior. People who drink Tritiated Water will be Tritiated for a long time because the Tritium has a half  life of over 12 years and 3 of the 12 year periods still leaves 1/8^th  of it still around and doing harm after 36 years.

        If there is any illness or disease that one can think of that has not been caused by a DNA-changing, cell-suicide causing, internally carried Radio-Active contamination, write me a letter about it.

            Helping 150 million Tritiated Americans (to cope with their problems, their pains and fears as well as trying to stop the people that are the cause of such problems) is a really big project. There is an urgent need to pass the “Global Warming Law” shown on the TRUTH site.

       We need political action that makes changes in Washington DC to get results that will stop the travesty. The people who support Nuclear power because it doesn’t emit Green House Gases need to be convinced that their belief that CO2 is pollution is wrong. They must re-think it through and understand that it is a scam. The people who believe the EPA, in their “Weak” Radio-Activity for Tritiated water, have made a mistake and need to read Ace Hoffman’s book. Then, legislation can be written to get America to believe in the TRUTH and make changes accordingly.     Good Luck and God Bless.

Vermont and New Hampshire customers should ask if the store handles the Dimmable model which is a good thing to know because one can not tell when looking at the bulb if it is dimmable or not.

As of 12/02/2010 it was unknown if a 24 piece order could get a discount because of the potential for the 14 million bulbs needed to cancel out the drop in power when the Vermont Nuclear Reactor is shut down at the end of 2012. That’s OK, who the heck is this author to ask for it. anyway?

The Sylvania bulbs that this author bought show the UL symbol on the bulb and a note that it was assembled in the US with foreign and domestic parts, which is a good thing.

They seem to be chicken little to say it on the above description or on their web site.?

“The Method”--- How Many LED Lights are Needed in USA?        Page 1

    If the total supply in the USA is 4,000 Million MegaWattHours and 30% of it is for Lighting The power for the lighting would be 1,200 Million MegaWattHours.

    If the only design available in very large quantity is a 40 Watt equivalent ( 8 Watt Dimmable) Led Light operating 6 hours a day, each Led would reduce the load by  32 x 6 = 192 Watt Hours.

    If the 4000 MMWH is divided by 193 Watt Hours the result is 20.7 Billion, 8 Watt Led Lights.

But, only a fraction of the lighting is residential lighting. How about 1/3 = 6.9 Billion bulbs.

    Because of poor planning, bad business strategy and political mistakes, the USA capacity is too low to mention. So it is obvious that the fastest way to get the job done is to outsource all around the world and start building the US capacity at as high of a rate as is practical. Look at all the CFLs and Halogens at the Home Depot and Lowes to see what can be done when everybody thinks incandescent will be Illegal on Dec 30 th of 2012. What a mistake. The Method ---Next, let us look at how many Households there are in the USA       Page 2

        For an estimate in 2009, Population was 307,000,000 people, Housing Units 130,000,000 times 24 bulbs per unit yields  3.12 Billion, 8.8 Watt (40 Watt Equivalent) dimmable Bulbs.

Obviously there is a lot more market available for Led Lights in America. A lot of them are not turned on very much.

     Therefore the 24 bulbs per housing unit is too low but there is nothing wrong with a “Starter Kit” of 24 bulbs because if it cuts the lighting bill in half and pays for itself in about 1 year and will last for 9 or 10 tears it is a very good thing to do. There are degrees of happiness in everything we do..

       As earlier mentioned the idea of “error on the low side when Led Lights are being considered”, it allows one to put the 40 watt equivalent in the place where a 60 watt now is used and see if there is enough light or not?

      The market will decide if a more expensive 13 watt (100 Watt Equivalent) Led Light is worth the money or Not. We are so used to have a perfusion of wonderful lighting that has been built up over the years that it is certainly OK to buy a  7 Watt (60 watt equ) Led Light.

    This author found out from personal experience that a 40 watt equivalent dimmable Led Light from The Home Depot ($ 18.47) is definitely not acceptable as the main kitchen light that has always had a 100 watt incandescent bulb (on a dimmer) installed for the last 40 years.

     The Earth Led web site lists a 7 Watt (60 watt Equ) Led Light at : $ 39.99

      A 13 Watt (100 Equ ) Led Light at : $ 47.99  The extra $8.00 gets you 40 more equivalent watts.

      So, the project is to fill up half of your house with 40 watt equivalent and then go shopping for the higher (more complicated) wattage in small lots until all of the bulbs are Led Light Bulbs.

Lumens   Schlumens ,  Did we care before?

               What we cared about was Volts and Watts, We never asked about Lumens and Brightness Temperature and this other stuff.

          We cared about the Price but left it an open question by admitting that there was little we could do about it except for buying a lower wattage to get a lower price. The fact that we could get burned by touching the bulb was just the way it was. The fact that they were fragile was just the way it was. And there was little we could do about the burn outs or the Brightness. An incandescent bulb is basically a high temperature FUSE that burns itself out from voltage and current surges like when you first turn it on of if there are power surges coming in from the utility line while it is in use.

            Now, the complication of Lumens, Lumens per Watt, Watts expended, Brightness (like 3000 Degrees Kelvin), Life before failure, color accuracy ( color rendering index, CRI ) are needed in addition to the Watts, Volts, and  the Frequency. Anatomy of the Label

Thomas Edison was a good, hard working and fair man and this is what it took to make his work obsolete. It is so good that the Department Of Energy did not exist during the life of Thomas.

       It will be interesting to see if it will be a legal requirement for every manufacturer in the world to produce a label like this to accompany each and every bulb designed, manufactured, tested and sold in the USA. The label does NOT say what Watt size of incandescent bulb this bulb replaces!

You know what? The Price of Led Lights makes them subject to label abuse, theft and black marketing.

      It makes one wonder why nobody ever specified how long any incandescent bulb of a given wattage and voltage was guaranteed to last, what the maximum surface temperature of the surface of the bulb was allowed to be, what the specification of the filament and it’s testing was and how long the filament and it’s cross sectional area was, and what the cold room temperature resistance of the filament was and the purity of the tungsten and any allotting component, as well as the average thickness of the bulb and it’s composition along  with any necessary heating and cooling anneal, a bulb drop teat under room temperature conditions and if all of that was required to accompany each bulb along with an approval of the life testing method and standards approved by an act of congress or thus giving the approving body the power to approve. I bought 2 GE, 2.5 Watt, 80 Lumen, 12.000 hour bulbs that did not say what they replaced, $ 9.93 each and, 2 Philips, 3 Watt, 136 Lumens, 20,000 hour bulbs that replace a 15Watt old bulb, $ 10.97 each and they make the GE bulb look pale indeed. Both bulbs said 2,700 K and GE lost.

    Oh, I guess this label is necessary and it sure will slow down the importation of foreign bulbs and stunt the growth of any USA optoelectronics companies (if there are any) and any assemblers in the USA.

So, one can go to the manufacturers section, do s search on each name, get to their web site and see if they are for real or not:

A look at the first 15 names and finding out their correct e-mail address was a painful and time consuming effort that convinces me that “lighting-facts is actually harmful to the American Led Lighting Marketplace causing wasted time and no real assistance for eager customers looking to reduce their electric energy bill with cost effective products.

In the interests of fair play, I will wait for a response to see what they say.

It Becomes Part of Us and Destroys Us

       Our silly EPA is in denial about what happens to the Tritiated Water released by Nuclear Power Plants for reasons too numerous to mention and motives that are a cultural disease. The most important thing to understand about it is the fact that all of our soft tissue is REPLACED about every 18 months, the experts say. This means that every month our body requires that what we eat and drink at the rate 80 percent of our body weight (that is our body weight less 20 percent).  A 200 pound person needs to replace 160 pounds of water content (that is part of the body) over the 18 month period at a rate of 8 and 7/8 pounds per month, (that is 160 pounds Divided by 18 months is 8 and 7/8 pounds per month).

        The EPA believes (erroneously) that someone drinking the Tritiated Water will pass it through the body in a few days. They can not realize that the harm does not go away in a few days because it is always contaminated water that is continuously released and consumed. They do not consider that a fraction of the water becomes part of the person’s body. The fraction that becomes a part of the soft tissue can be ANYPLACE in the body and can reside there for a pretty ling time while doing harm. Consider, for example, Tritiated Saline Solution in the blood of the person. The bad blood circulates through the entire body many thousands of times and can impart harm to the artery walls causing Aneurisms.

      How about the Tritiated Saline Solution releasing electrons into the brain tissue continuously giving false electronic signals that cause confusion and freaky behavior or simply destroying memory or causing a loss of working brain cells? How about harm to the kidneys, the eyes or damage to the Liver? Since the blood visits ALL of the living cells in the body on a regular basis and is involved in the replacement process for all the tissues that are being replaced, one can end up with Radio-Active Body Tissues that self destruct when the Tritium decays to a funny Helium atom that the body does not know what to do with in addition to loosing an important part of the body.

        Some day it may turn out that Autism is caused by all the loose electrons that are injected by the Tritiated Blood and/or by the decay of brain tissue caused by a cell suicide. It may turn out that all the Tritiated Water that we consume causes harm to our creative faculties and results in bad scientists and administrators like those in the EPA, the DOE, the NRC and the Presidency.

        In the old days, we were taught to “Error on The Safe Side”. It is tragic that this is not the case at the EPA and a host of USA Agencies today. Our culture now insists that errors are not being made, and therefore, there is no “safe side” to worry about. The belief in the non existent Global Warming and the foolish Ravages of Climate Change are considered activity that is on the Safe Side as proof of the proper beliefs and actions. The science is “settled”, they say, by thousands of scientists and the radiation from Tritium is a non event because it is so weak.

        A really good example of how bad the situation is, is when a body builder (and Actor, Arnold) as the Governor of California, can proclaim that anti Nuclear Believers are “in Denial” and Nobody goes after him for such a statement. California has a “no Nuclear Building Policy”, of course, which proves that they are “Environmental” and willing to suffer “Rolling Blackouts to prove it. But, they are “in Denial” that a large percentage of their power comes from one of the largest Nuclear Power facilities in the world across the border in Arizona. Why is it that just about everything is political and any sense of responsibility for the truth is “in Denial”?

         The FDA, the HHS and the CDC have become unable to take control of their purpose in the field of safety in health matters. It is very easy for them to point to the clean water activities of the EPA.

         How can it be that hundreds of thousands of the Health Professionals and Scientists have cast a blind eye and a tin ear toward the Nuclear Power Industry, The evil discharge of millions of Curies of Tritiated Water into our drinking water over all the years and have no responsibility for all the harm that is being done and which will be done in the future as a result of it.

       The good news is that “Cap and Trade” has died a political death. But, nobody realizes that these guys will get it done anyway by doing it with another name and another way in peace-meal and with hidden activity. This author is likely to be the only guy in the USA who worries about all the beer bottled around Saint Louis being contaminated with Tritiated Water from a contaminated river that nobody is testing for Radio-Activity because the EPA says it is OK to discharge it. We believe in what the EPA tells us and we trust the many scientists who believe that CO2 is Pollution as well. However, believing that something is true does not make it so.         A quick search on Tritiated-Water yielded 72,000 results, too many for an old man to look at. And a search on Tritiated-Blood only 2 results, one of which was this web site. In years past at Fisher Scientific, on my Blood Cell Counter called the “Auotcytometer”, circa 1958, I now found Perkin Elmer who I was familiar with and sent this:

    This author typed onto his browser Tritiated-Blood and got 2 results. One was calling out  www.ledlightsforusa.com which is my web site.

Since blood is easily 90% (or more) a saline solution of water and Tritiated Water is in most of our drinking water in relatively high concentrations, I hope you will look into this and quickly devise a way to develop and introduce it  ( a test )  for wide spread use at the earliest possible time.

    My web site will describe for you the serious and far reaching ramifications of this terrible situation.

Hopefully you can devise a way to avoid $25.000 dollar scintillation machines, but if not, that's ok too.

Please get back to me at the earliest possible time because I am old and I want to get results on this project as soon as possible.

     Looking more, it seems that there are about 5 liters of blood in a human body and it takes about 1 minute to circulate to all parts of the body. This means that the entire body is exposed to the circulating, electron emitting bad blood 1440 times per day, every day, while the Tritium decays and shoots out high speed electrons in all directions which finally slow down and do harm to the tissues and leave behind free radicals and Funny Helium that has no way to get out of the body.

      And, the various body parts and tissues that stay in one place and emit the additional radiation until the Tritium finally decays leave behind the same harmful residue. Tritium has a half life of 12 and ˝ years so that the 18 month life of the soft tissues before being exchanged with new tissue will receive an untold number of damaging impulses as will the bad, radiating, circulating blood.

      We need 3 things to look into this:

1)     Whole body scanners, that look like sun tan machines, at $ 50,000 dollars each, that can detect the radiation that leaves the body, and:

2)      Blood measurement gadgets, of a method, complexity and cost yet to be determined, for mass distribution and use as soon as possible.

We need from the media, an admission the bad existence of Nuclear Reactors and a national (and world) agreement that the use of them should be stopped immediately.

      If one thinks about the complexity and fragility of the brain or the lungs and the likelihood and reality of having Radio-Active Blood circulating through them every minute of every day it is sure to be causing damage.

      If one made a survey of all medical doctors and researchers and asked these questions,

A) Taking the Hoffmann Essays, the speculative content of this web site along with your study and experience, “Would you be able to state that the ingestion of Tritiated Water could be harmful to the Human Body and/or the Human Genome?”

B)  Is it possible that many of the ills experienced by your patients could be caused by the consumption of Tritiated Water?

What do you think should be done about this?

       The 8 and 7/8 pounds of monthly replacement soft tissues that ones body needs comes out to be about 0.3 pounds per day that is picked off of the food and drink consumed. None of the water or food “passes through” in 1 or 2 days the way the EPA describes it. All of it is “processed” and directed by the various organs that are calling for it in complex ways that will surprise and amaze the researchers for many years. All of it is absorbed by the body and put to use in all sorts of ways in a huge and complex bio-chemical and bio-energy consumption system guided by the DNA system in each and every cell in the body. Only 3% of the DNA has been described in detail and the other 97% is still unknown as to how, when and why it is used to produce and use thousands of complex bio chemicals and tissues.

       The idea that the Tritiated Water “Passes Through” in a few days is a stupid and foolish cover up to minimize the consequences of drinking Tritiated Water. Our entire body and mind puts to use essentially all of what we take in and then decides what to do with it in support of life and the performance of the various bodily functions. The “Passing Through” is the fabrication Before the Genome was fully delineated. The Passing Through in a short time is a 50 year old, 20^th century description for a 21^st century world.

        When the scientific and institutional powers allowed the release of millions of gallons of highly concentrated Tritiated Water to be evaporated out of the containment dome at Three Mile Island after the melt down, it was setting up the way the Cooling Towers are allowed to be used today to “Get Rid Of” the Tritiated Water in addition to diluting the concentrated stuff down to the EPA standard prior to releasing into the lakes and rivers.

        The result is Tritiated Water Vapor pushed up into the cooling Towers that spreads it far and wide as Tritiated Rain everywhere the wind blows and under the power of the vapor pressure that water has. Growing food with Tritiated Water is a very bad idea. Even the contaminated lakes and rivers provide a large source for Evaporated Tritiated Water that also contributes to the contaminated rain and more bad food. Our “Wonderful Water World” is Under Attack from all these foolish lethal solid nuclear waste generating machines. They are the dumbest way to make hot water ever devised, and the long term cost of protecting people from getting too close to the solid waste completely cancels out any possible financial gain.

    What is needed now is the circulation of the horrors of all the Tritiated Water and wide distribution of the various low cost ways of testing for it. The EPA always points out that an expensive Scintillation Counter is necessary and that is not the case.  The Thermo Luminescent Dosimeters are a possibility. And, the various Films for low level radiation detection like those at  www.landauer.com   looks  good.

      Fluke  ASM-990  Advanced Survey Meter ( only $1,699.00) and their 425-200 Probe (only $1,584.00) looks like a good starting point if it really is hard to measure Beta radiation or not. I asked them at  sales@flukebiomedical.com to provide a quote along with a selection of probes that would be useful in trying to measure some radiation coming from a person or not? And /or a second request about how costly to measure water samples out of the rivers? They also have a 943 series radiation scintillation detector that may be useful as time goes by.

     Ludlum Measurements Inc. Model 25 looks like it will have possible use to measure people beta  radiation output.   Ludlum@ludlums.com   I asked for price and delivery on 9/7/2010 at both vendors.

     This author finds it strange that before any quote can be given out by either of the manufacturers mentioned, the requirement is that the Name, Address, State, zip code and if it will be used in the USA or other place must be provided. The Fluke ASM-990 REALLY IS AN ADVANCED DEVICE and one can expect that measurements on low levels of Beta electrons really can be directly made without any secondary fluorescent cocktail to produce light flashes that are counted or used to expose some film for reading the result. Such electrons are discharged from the Tritium at very high voltage and speeds on the order of 1/3 the speed of light. The Hoffman essays will help on such information.

      In view of the abject denial of the large amount of Tritiated Water released and an admission to the General Public on a regular basis about where and when the releases are made, this author suggests that each and every state that has rivers and lakes receiving all this bad water should set up an office of nuclear radiation detection and get the power of each state on board as an interested party in the making and recording what is released and what is sitting around as solid waste that deserves strict rules as to who can go there under whose authorization. If  each bulb reduces the power by 27 watts per bulb x 30 bulbs  x   240,634  =  195 Mega Watts.

The power required is only 3 watts  x  30 bulbs  x   240,634 households  =  22 Mega Watts.

New Hampshire Households Using the same simple rule for a 30 watt equivalent Led Light at  3 watts:

  27 watts saved per bulb x 30 bulbs per household  x 474,606 households = 383 Mega Watts replaced.

Reduced Power needed  =  3 Watts x 30 bulbs per x 474,606nhouseholds = 43 Mega Watts.

Bulbs needed = 30 x 474,606 = 14 million bulbs.

 North Carolina Follow Up

 ( The 3^rd e-mail in a series  to help Nuclear Infected North Carolina )

     This author knows that un- solicited e-mails are mostly treated as SPAM. That is the way one handles all incoming mail and it doesn’t take all that long to scan the spam list before deleting them all. Everyone so far placed on the e-mailing list for attempting to generate interest on the North Carolina Nuclear Infection where Charlotte is surrounded by 10 reactors that produce a long list of radio active solids, liquids and gases hade not yet responded. The liquids and the gases are “released” into the neighborhoods and the solids are accumulated on site and continue to emit liquids and gases that are continuously released because there is no way to stop the production or to capture them.

      As a result of 50 years of denial that all this bad stuff is continuously produced and released, the various agencies on the basic mail list (built up over the years) are skilled recipients that can say “all incoming mail from that source were never read”. Your’s truly can accept that. This author has found over the years that sooner or later people will do the right thing.

Thank you for your patients.  Below you will answers to your questions.

Answer: Yes this is true, it acts chemically like "normal "water.  Its natural decay rate gives it a half life of 12.3 years.  Half life is However the natural turnover of water in the body results in a biological half life of 2-10 days depending on water intake which replaces it.
2)  Is it true that this Radio Active water can not be filtered out and requires an expensive scintillation machine to detect it?
Answer: Filtration can be accomplished but is highly specialized and expensive, not on a scale available for public water systems.  Liquid scintillation counting is used to determine the quantity of tritium present in water.
3)  Is it true that the body can accept the Tritiated Water and make it a part of the normal tissue replacement that the body uses many times in it’s normal cycle of life?
Answer: Yes.  Water is distributed throughout the body in about 2 hours including any tritiated water.
4)  Can the part of the body that has used this Tritiated Water suffer damage from the constant radiation it receiver from the Radio-Active water?
Answers: Yes,  there is a small risk of damage.   Radioactivity carries some risk of cancer dependent on its dose and the organ affected.  No one single organ is affected by water, the dose will be spread out over the body. Keep in mind you will receive 19-30 milli rems of dose from the naturally occurring radioactive potassium-40 in your body (orange juice, bananas) versus 0.3 mrem from tritium.   The allowable dose from drinking water is 4 mrem or 20,000 picoCuries or a 3.6X10-5 (3-4 in 20,000) risk of cancer over lifetime.  Radon (especially) and medical tests contribute far more risk to you relative to tritium.
5)  Can the DNA of a person be damaged by this Radio-Active component in the body?
Answer:  Yes.  Radioactivity contributes to the risk of cancer via this mechanism.  Beta radiation from tritium is weak.
6)  Can the body suffer damage when the radio-active water being used as a critical part of the body decays to Helium gas and a free radical ?
Answer: Not really.  This happens slowly, and the helium is a gas and will dissipate.
7)  Why hasn't the various public agencies responsible for American health and safety stopped the distribution of this radio active water into essentially ALL of our drinking water?
Answer: None is 'distributed' on purpose.  Some leaks from nuclear reactors or is present from natural sources or from previous atmospheric nuclear testing in the 50's and 60's.  There is no such thing as risk free food or water.
8)  Why are new reactors being approved for construction with the clear public knowledge?
Answer: Newer reactors are more modern designs and newer materials than the older units and will replace the electric generation lost as old plants go off line.  NRC encourages public participation in its rulemaking and reactor approval process.
9)  Why are the old reactors getting license extensions while this issue of bad water is secret?

SIC. ) The body continuously replaces soft tissue and water is used to build the tissue and/or to store energy in the Liver or in storage as fat. So five minutes after one takes a drink, SOME OF The Tritiated Water is going to be part of you for a long time and is radiating SOME part of your body the very first day. Since the contamination of the water is a constant level of contamination situation, it doesn’t matter because the water that replaces it is also contaminated. This is bad news. )
2)  Is it true that this Radio Active water can not be filtered out and requires an expensive scintillation machine to detect it?
Answer: Filtration can be accomplished but is highly specialized and expensive, not on a scale available for public water systems. ( This is more Bad News. )  Liquid scintillation counting is used to determine the quantity of tritium present in water.
3)  Is it true that the body can accept the Tritiated Water and make it a part of the normal tissue replacement that the body uses many times in it’s normal cycle of life?
Answer: Yes.  Water is distributed throughout the body in about 2 hours including any tritiated water. ( This is the same Bad News as in Answer1).  )
4)  Can the part of the body that has used this Tritiated Water suffer damage from the constant radiation it receiver from the Radio-Active water?
Answers: Yes,  there is a small risk of damage.   Radioactivity carries some risk of cancer dependent on its dose and the organ affected.  No one single organ is affected by water, the dose will be spread out over the body. ( This is more bad news. Using the words “Small Risk” is unfair because small is a relative term (smaller than what) and taking a risk on something as necessary to life drinking water is obscene. ) Keep in mind you will receive 19-30 milli rems of dose from the naturally occurring radioactive potassium-40 in your body (orange juice, bananas) versus 0.3 mrem from tritium. ( There is nothing I can do about K-40 and people have been exposed to it for millions of years. You have not mentioned what kind of radiation it is and what it’s half life it has, but it doesn’t matter because it is a standard Pro-Nuke answer that typifies the denial of the harm. )   The allowable dose from drinking water is 4 mrem or 20,000 picoCuries or a 3.6X10-5 (3-4 in 20,000) risk of cancer over lifetime. ( The 20,000  pico  Curies per second per liter is a Terribly High risk level that produces 740 Nuclear Decays per second for each liter of water involved. The 4 mrem way of thinking is old Hiroshima atomic bomb thinking. Somebody has prostituted you with the old Pro-nuke trickery. 5)  Can the DNA of a person be damaged by this Radio-Active component in the body?
Answer:  Yes.  Radioactivity contributes to the risk of cancer via this mechanism. ( THIS IS BAD NEWS, FAR MORE THAN YOU REALIZE.)  Beta radiation from tritium is weak. 6)  Can the body suffer damage when the radio-active water being used as a critical part of the body decays to Helium gas and a free radical ?
Answer: Not really.  This happens slowly, and the helium is a gas and will dissipate. ( Nothing Happens slowly in the Nuclear Game. The Beta is moving at 1/3 the Velocity of Light And the left over HO is right next to some body part. Forget the “Not really”)

7)  Why hasn't the various public agencies responsible for American health and safety stopped the distribution of this radio active water into essentially ALL of our drinking water?
Answer: None is 'distributed' on purpose. ( So now the response has degenerated into an out-right Lie. ALL OF  THE RELEASES are known by everybody but this responder and the General Public. It is distributed because the reactors are distributed across America and all of them dump the Tritiated Water into the nearby rivers or other bodies of water. Fresh pure water is used to dilute the contamination to the ridiculously high EPA Standard. In some places the bad water is mixed with water contaminated up-stream (Like water in the Mississippi River which ends up at New Orleans with almost 3% Tritiated Water at low winter flow.)    Some leaks from nuclear reactors or is present from natural sources or from previous atmospheric nuclear testing in the 50's and 60's. (Leaks are Very common but nobody is out there trying to find out how bad it is without court action.) There is no such thing as risk free food or water.
8)  Why are new reactors being approved for construction without the clear public knowledge?
Answer: Newer reactors are more modern designs and newer materials than the older units and will replace the electric generation lost as old plants go off line. ( The Pro Nukes will never go off line with an old plant. They will continue to get license extensions and replace what they have to with an endless use of Public money to do it as is now being done with most of the 40 year old dangerous, brittle existing losers. )  NRC encourages public participation in its rulemaking and reactor approval process. ( You got to be kidding. )

9)  Why are the old reactors getting license extensions while this issue of bad water is secret?
Answer: Tritium is no secret. ( Tritiater Water Releases are a Secret as far as the Public is concerned. I just proved it when you mention only 2 “Tritium” results out of 444 responses to questions and NO RESULTS for “Tritiated Water” which is the bone of contention. People who would go to a hearing on a new plant are Innocent Citizens that are always dismissed as un-important or ill informed.)     4/30/09 Response  from the EPA  is cast in Bronze along with the required response from yours truly. The EPA response is obviously a classic denial which will be easy to destroy with truth and honesty that is not usually possible when this kind of stuff is presented by skilled Pro Nuclear respondents.

       The EPA was informed that the 2 Hoffman Essays were part of the reply to the EPA answers to the 9 Questions and the Author posted the list here so that they can think hard about the carbon credit and pollution stuff while they also evaluate the Peden Op-ED as well.

        It is likely that some of the DOE, NRC and EPA big guns will have to be brought into the subject if they actually have something to say. It remains to be seen if there are any people on the list of 175 people that will actually attempt to do something about this. E-mails, after all is said and done, are hardly more than spam.   Attention South Carolina Residents

A Pittsburgh Author has discovered that 6 of the 10 Nuclear Reactors (actually 11 because Oconee has 3 reactors) that encircle Charlotte are located in South Carolina and have a big influence on the health of the citizens of Columbia as well because of the reactors that dump their Radio-Active Tritiated Water up stream that feed the Columbia water supply. The Reactors in South Carolina are listed as follows:

The up stream contaminators of Columbia water comes from the 2 McGuire reactors that dump into Lake Norman in North Carolina which then sends the bad water to Charlotte and then down river to Columbia and then out into the Atlantic Ocean.

        The principal offender hurting South Carolina with this horrible cover-up is Duke Power which releases 75 % of the contaminated water in the state from Catawba #1 and # 2 and from the  3 Oconee reactors. That means that 7 reactors are contaminating 4.8 Million people (686,000 people per reactor).

      This is a bad situation because NONE of the Atomic Power Plants in America are willing to admit that they knowingly release all of this Radio-Active Water into most of America’s water supply and that some of it is absorbed by the human body as “normal” pure water when in fact it is Tritiated Water that can become part of the body soft tissues in the continuous tissue replacement process that we all experience. Most of out soft tissue is replaced every 19 months and water that we drink is an important part of the building process.

     The Department Of Energy KNOWS that this is happening and they have built up a fake genome expertise th fight in the area of potential harm to our DNA. It is a waste time and money publishing the Genome information that they did not produce. The NRC also KNOWS that this Tritiated Water is being released and has the power (with the assistance of the Office of The President and the power of the 1956 Atomic Energy Act. Everybody feeds the phony cover story to the EPA which then becomes responsible for the limit of 20,000 pico Curie per second per Liter of water based upon faulty Hiroshima Bomb death information. The EPA is stuck in the 20^th Century even though they are 21^st Century people.

      This is all quite hard for this author to write about because it is so heavy, far reaching and important to America. It required 5 years while preparing the www.exonerateco2.com( now being re-built) web site only to discover such a burdensome story that requires a $ 25.000.00 Dollar Liquid Scintillation Counting Machine to measure what is going on. The trouble is that our original Nuclear Power Experts are almost all dead and the generation that took over are at a loss to defend the Tritiated Water that can (and does) hurt our DNA because the complete delineation of DNA was only fully known in the last 20 years. They are stuck in the 20^th century innocence about Atomic Power (even before the discovery of Quarks and Gluon) and the Power Plant design is heavily dependent upon cooling water that is easily (and purposely) contaminated by the Tritiated Water.

     The problem is that a big country like America can do a lot of harm at the same time as doing a lot of good. This Author likes the good that we do. He thinks that the time has come for the Legislators to CLAMP DOWN on the DOE, the NRC and The President to CUT THIS STUFF OUT,--- NOW!

 Begging Duke Power to DO  THE RIGHT  THING

 ( Nothing will ever happen with Duke Power )

        It hasn’t been checked out yet if the top people at Duke Power drink a lot of Tritiated Water or not. Maybe that can account for the decision to construct 2 more new Atomic Reactors . Tritiated water that enters the body from drinking it, by eating food irrigated with Tritiated Water in the rain or drawn from Tritiated Water that was discharged from some of the Duke reactors (or some that enters the lungs from a warm water vapor in the shower) can cause all kind of trouble for the person involved.

       After the bad water gets in the body it can go anywhere and everywhere and become part of it and release the speedy, 6 Kev electrons that do harm when they are slowed down. In addition to causing “Cell Suicide” when a discharge occurs from a cell that then has a left over free radical, the actual electrons can surely send false signals in the brain (and to the brain) resulting in any kind of behavior that you might want to propose. As one can imagine with, say, 10,000  electric signals going back and forth between the brain and all parts of the body per second, one Does Not Need  a bunch of added electronic pulses confusing the nerves and memory cells and confounding the doctors, psychiatrists and business associates.

       In the Duke Board Room, after some twitching, itching and pain in the little toe on the right foot, Board member Mr. Nuke Like-A-Lot said “lets buy 2 more from Westinghouse, Bush will approve them.” This kind of jerky behavior can not be diagnosed. Mutations, cancer and other bodily harm of all kind that can result from radiation is one thing and the medical people can try to pinpoint the source of the problem and try to fix it. But this insidious internal, constant and undetectable kind of radiation that requires a $25,000 Dollar machine with a fluorescent cocktail to show up as a light flash when an electron is discharged from a water sample is not too useful once the Tritium gets into the body and does it’s harm. The local water company doesn’t know the Tritiated Water has been mixed in with their pure drinking water and doesn’t test for it. Ignorance Is Not Bliss.

      After looking at the financials and business model of Duke Energy (A Wonderful Organization and Company) it is quite clear that they do not need  another pain in the neck environmental disaster that leaves the public (their customers) with more sick and dead people as will as a bunch of Atomic Waste sitting around for millions of years on their property. You might not have heard Harry Reed say on 5/15/09 that we should leave the nuclear waste sit where it is and not have to move it “and save the tax payers millions of dollars”. If only he and people like Reed (however it is spelled) would have seriously said that kind of stuff the day before Mr. “Like-A-Lot” made his motion to the board, the new plant would have the chance of a snowball in hell of passing. Reed does not realize that it is the Tax Payers who have that horrible stuff sitting next to their back yard and nobody is asking them if they want it to sit there releasing stuff into the air and water forever.

       The Duke folks actually believe that the illustrious Federal Government will hold up their end of the bargain even though they don’t have a plan and never will.

       The Duke board has no respect for a million year cost of storing and protecting all that waste and don’t care because it is not their problem. People are trying to make it a Duke Energy Problem.

        This Author is begging Duke to cancel the 2 nukes with a public statement that they are going to convert their nukes to natural gas fired boilers and demand that the government to remove the waste from their property as agreed and bear the cost of returning the land to a safe condition during the life of Duke Power as it now exists. The Board must state that they will not leave a legacy of stupidity and bad behavior to Duke, it’s stockholders, customers and all future people.

        To all the Publishers and Editors in the Carolinas on the published list, this author suggests that they transmit this pleading to the Duke Board, to all the Duke customers and tell them that the 2 straws that broke the camel’s back are 1) the Tritiated Water that nobody knows about in all the water and 2) a Harry Reed rant that proves that the government (at least a Democrat) can’t be trusted to remove the waste.
